Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Checks

Team officials appearing on a roster are required to complete a Child Registry Search and a Criminal Record Check. Team officials include all persons listed on the roster e.g. coach, assistants, manager etc. Team officials that fail to complete the required searches will be removed from the team roster and suspended until such time as proper certification is received and administration fee paid.

Criminal Record Check

REMHA is using the Sterling Backcheck system, those individuals on a roster where no current Police Check is held will receive notification via e-mail and will then submit their information on line to the provider. Turn around is only a few days and a copy is sent to the applicant and to REMHA. Costs are covered by REMHA. Completing a criminal record check on your own will have fees incurred to yourself. Child Registry Search

All residents - Child Abuse Registry Check Form

Completed Child Registry documents are to be submitted to REMHA who will submit the documents on your behalf. There is no cost when the Association submits the documents. Please drop off your completed forms at the Gateway office in an envelope marked for REMHA or mail to:
